Just a Quick Thank You!!! [10 Aug 2006|05:33pm]
To Everyone who came out to see us on tour. We had quite a few people tell us that they have been waiting a while (1-3 years) to see us play and I am happy we didn't dissapoint them! Some big thank you's go out to our buddys in TEX (Seattle/Tacoma, WA) and our amazing group of friends in San Diego and L.A. who make even the worst tours a blast every time! And the BIGGEST thank you to our loyal fans who keep track of us and keep booking shows for us and keep coming to see us no matter what! You make it worth the drives and you keep us going. We are doing our best to not wait another year before we hit the road again! Thanks Everyone!

LSF <3's FWR [03 Aug 2005|03:21am]
Hanging out with some new friends in Warrensburg Missouri on the verge of the end of tour. We started the last leg of tour with our GREAT pals Fire When Ready a few days ago. It always feels like home when we are on tour with them. I am next to Travis right now as I am typing this and he is on his laptop chatting with his girlfriend. Oh Travis says to say hello! Lets see whats new. I just turned a year older 2 days ago. I got to see one of the most beautiful sights in our country, Yellowstone park in Wyoming last week.We had another tire mishap in South Dakota. The entire tread flew off the drivers side front tire. Crazy. Glad we din't fly off the road. We are really good at changing tires on the van now. This time we replaced both the front tires and dropped about $170. I got a call from my room mates saying that we dont have a place to live when I get home. Thats always good to hear haha. I am thankful for my friends and my girlfriend who moved all my stuff for me today because I am pretty helpless in the situation as I am about 1000 miles away at the moment. At least I get my rent money back so I will have some cash to put down on a new appartment when I get back. I am actually pretty excited cuz I am most likely getting my own place now. I have always had room mates in the past so this will be a new adventure. It will be nice to get back home and see the people I miss. Its weird. For once I actually miss being at the place where I work when we arent on tour. I have had some crappy jobs in the past that I didnt care about but I genuinely am totally into my current state of employment. Good deal. Jeff needs his computer back now so I am out for now.

I think I am actually getting a tan. [23 Jul 2005|04:19pm]
Crazy. We've been hanging out in the Los Angeles area for a couple days now. So far we have 1) Swam in the ocean trying not to let the waves take us out to sea, 2) Hung out at the Rainbow BAr and Grill on Sunset Strip where we saw Lemmy (Motorhead) and Steve-o (Jack-ass), 3) Played an early afternoon show at one of the coolest summer camps around for a few hundred amazing kids and counselors, after which we spent the rest of our time there throwing kids in the swimming pool and riding an awesome water slide about 50 times, 4) Met up with out cool pals who quite possibly might be our biggest fans who treat us like royalty. We still have 2 more days left. They sure keep us busy here. I'm still homesick though but I'm trying to keep occupied in the mean time. I wish the Brits. would have ran more seasons of Mr. Bean. I just can't get enough. I kinda wish I would have seen Wedding Crashers instead of Fantastic Four the other day. I wish we could tour with the Foo Fighters. Or at least play a show with them. IT's wicked hot around here. I don't know how people do it. Crazy people. Anyhow. I miss you.

Texas y'all [17 Jul 2005|02:31pm]
We are now in Texas. Waco to be exact. We are chillin with our pal, Holly Jones! She is a loser. Oh well. She will never read this haha. Anyways, we had a BLAST in Knoxville 2 days ago. Everytime we play there it gets better and better. Big shout out to our bros' in The Shape who were there to hang out and request some tunes with us. In other news I think i have been eating ok dispite all the random traveling and stopping. Hopefully I won't lose too much weight this tour. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was quite the phenominal experience. I think Tim Burton was born to make that film. I would feel safe to say I enjoyed it more than the original. I will say I am a tad homesick and I miss lots of people already. But I am on tour with my best friends so that helps smooth things out. Especially when we get to see old buddies in other states. Steve and I have wonderful girlfriends who put up with us being gone for a moth at a time. Priceless. Its hard to believe we will be in California in a couple days already. The good thing about this tour is the low stress factor and hangout time inbetween shows. Rock. Oh and do yourself a favor and download Braaains! songs. Ok thats all for now. Peace.

So first day of tour... [13 Jul 2005|06:30pm]
went well. We made it in one piece and played for a lovely bunh in Logan WV. We are currently hanging out at the apartment of our good buddy Mark Mosely in Nashville, TN watching the live Foo Fighters DVD that I should have bought a long time ago. Jeff and Caleb came up with this weird but fun thing to do while we are on tour. We give each other points for saying cool or funny stuff or doing somthing amazing and then we will do somthing cool for the one with the most at the end of tour. Yeah looks like we are running out of cool ideas already haha. Ok well we are leaving to go to the show now. Ill try to update this crap more often. Later.

Today marks a special day in history... [26 Oct 2004|01:19am]
Thats right...
23 years ago my brother, Caleb Micah Coy, was delivered into this world through a painful process known as birth...

I guess that would make it a good day to spank him.
email his booty at caleb@lsfrock.com ;-)

Love you bro!

Some Randomness... [17 Oct 2004|09:51pm]
So lets see, what do I feel like rambling about...

We posted a couple new live videos on our website (lsfrock.com) if anyone is curious to check them out. Word...

I highly recomend the following recordings...
The Casket Lottery - Smoke and Mirrors
The Snake The Cross The Crown - Mander Salis
Micah P. Hinson - Manchester E.P.
Crash Rickshaw - Crash Rickshaw
The New U2 song also rules.

What else...
Well after we got home from tour I took about a week and a half to just hang out then got a job working at a video rental store to help pay some bills while im home. Now half of my free time is spent watching movies that I get to rent for free.
We have been writing a lot ot new songs and have even one of them out at our most recent Auburn show to test the waters. We had positive feedback which is always a good thing :-)
Thats pretty much how the other half of my free time is spent when Im not hanging out with my friends. Just writing songs or thinking of ways to improve them.

I hope everyone who can vote gets a chance to vote this coming November 2nd. Everyone in LSF will be at the polls early in the morning. We will be leaving that same day to start a short tour with our best friends Fire When Ready. I am looking forward to this with extreme antisipation for a number of reasons ;-)

I got a chance to hang out with my Dad today for a while. Its amazing how few and far between visits have become. You kinda take those moments for granted when you live with your parents. I dont even mind those moment of parental advise that you normally want to shut out when you hear it all the time. While we were hanging out I got a bike. I think I will be riding that alot til it gets too cold for me to hold the handlebars haha.

If you want to get freaked out by a movie then rent/buy Session 9:Fear Is a Place. And watch it in the dark. Yup...

"...no no no, there is no word to describe its perfection, so I'm forced to make one up, and I'm going to do so right now... Scrumtralescent..."

Holy Lack of UPDATES!!! [08 Sep 2004|04:34am]
Well... until now.
Real quick like. Tour was great! After we parted way with Stars Hide Fire (sad goodbyes) in Oklahoma we had a few days by ourselves then met up with The Lyndsay Diaries in California. To make a long story short, Scott, Pete, and Eugene are some of the best people ever and we miss them dearly!!! Everyone should go to the Militia groups website and order the new E.P. "Midwestern". I will try to elaborate on tour a little more later. For now it is 4:30 in the am where I live and where I am from that constitutes being too tired to do alot of things. For all our Syracuse fans and friends, it has been a while since we've played a show for y'all so why don't you come hang out this Saturday ;-) x's and oh's for you all!!!

Saturday, September 11th, 2004 The Furnace, 312 Lakeside Rd, Syracuse, NY
Doors at 5:00 pm
Show is $8 at the door
ALL AGES admitted!!!

Hangin out in Wacko Texas (a.k.a. Waco) [18 Jul 2004|02:49pm]
So the tour with Stars Hide Fire has been hella fun. You can read up on some tour stories in the news section of our website. We are chillin at my homegirl Holly's (and her room matetes) pad in Texas at the moment causing a rukus. Its ok cuz we all clean up after haha. They are letting us use their computers, bathrooms, kitchen, porch, vehicles and making us feel at home so far away from home. They ROCK! I went swimming in the ocean for the first time in my life a few days ago in Daytona Beach, Florida. aLmost got killed by a crazy driver named cliff who took stevge and I to wall-mart. Actually he was a cool kid and let us all crash at his house after the show. A few of the guys almost got arrested in New Orleans. Fazoli's is the best "fast food" place ever. We are still "sponsered" by Subway (haha). Alex from S.H.F. learned that you are not supposed to put glass bowls on a hot stove cuz you might end up with beans and glass everywhere after a mild explosion. We have some of the nicest, coolest friends ever on the road but I still miss alot of faces from home. I have soem of the nicest room mates on the planet back home and some of the bestest friends. See you all in a little over a month!

Take your blindfold off... [10 Jun 2004|01:38pm]
I don't know how anyone can be truly happy in a corporate lifestyle. Deceit, greed, corruption, fear, no job security... I mean seriously, when did people decide that the main purpose in life is making money and how much you can own? Before you make a carreer choice in life, think about what truly makes you happy because when you get deep sixed you're not gonna be able to take any of that shit in the ground with you. People step on each other, hurt each other, abuse each other day in and day out in order to aquire more money, more recognition, the bigger house, the faster car that will just sit in a garage cuz its too expensive to drive. All this while there are kids in other countries who get abused and get paid pennies a day to make the shitty clothes and products you consume to make some corporate bigwig millions of dollars because he convinced you that his brand name is cooler that another brand name. Get real people. Remember when everyone was paying 80 and 100 dollars for a pair of guess jeans because some commercial told you they were cooler than a pair of Lee jeans? Guess who benefited from that? Not you. You either grew out of them, or eventually saw the ads for Abercrombie jeans and decided they were cooler. And the guy who owns Guess was laughing all the way to the bank. Just take a moment and think about it.

Somthing amusing I thought I would share with you folks...

Hokay... We need everyones help!! [27 May 2004|07:37pm]
Its Sammy Awards time in Syracuse NY. This award recognizes the musicians in the local area and we need your help to get in on the action!!! We need you to go to

http://www.tasteofsyracuse.com/entertainment.htm#

click on the SAMMY's logo on the top left of the page.

A new window will open up where you have to put your name, then enter
"LONG SINCE FORGOTTEN" as the Favorite Entertainment Act, and then enter
an email address.

Do it because you love us!!

In other news I am moving into a different appartment this weekend with some friends of mine. The rent is alot cheaper so that should help out some. Oh and get this... Yesterday me and my current roommate got a bill for $800 from the local power company known as Niagra Mohawk. $800!!!! WTF??? Apparently they had been "billing us the wrong way" for the past 10 months we have lived there. Awesome. I guess apayment plan has been worked out and our past roommates who also shared the house with us have been notified and they will be paying their share of the bill but still... WTF is wrong with the power company?

Current Thoughts... [17 May 2004|05:34pm]
Bush needs to go... Take 5 minutes, register to vote.
http://electionimpact.votenet.com/declareyourself/index.cfm

People need to not be fooled by government propaganda that sways people to support ideas and actions they normally wouldn't. Just think about it... and think for yourself.

It has been a while since we have had this much time off in between shows (a month) and I have more free time than usual to relax and it's been nice. I miss being on the road though, when we are home. I reffer to it as a comfortable unpredictability. Does that make sense?? Routines can be unsettling to me.

*note to self - call Dad and make plans to hang out soon.

I have a day job. It's somthing to do when we are not touring and it pays the bills. I would like a different day job. A less boring and more satisfying one. hmmm...
Corporate jobs suck...

Some records that satisfy my ears lately are:
R.E.M. - Monster
The Get Up Kids - Guilt Show
Portishead - Portishead
Limbeck - Hi Everythings Great
Marathon - Songs to Turn the Tide
Oasis - Whats the Story...
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

and a handfull of other songs as well by various artists...

Ok I think i am through rambling for the moment. THanks for reading :-)
